Bonnie Chapman
BIO
Bonnie has worked as a Research Assistant at Parkwood Institute since 2006.  She has been involved in many SCI projects including the Functional Electrical Stimulation Project (FES) as the coordinator, taking on recruitment, daily organization, data collection and recording as well as the Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction where tasks included recruitment, data collection and recording. Bonnie’s Knowledge Mobilization Network (KMN) work included the creation of timely comprehensive online questionnaires, while her Online Physical Activity and Nutrition (OPAN) assistance included recruitment and organization of weekly exercise classes as well as data collection and recording. For the Neurogenic Bladder Self Management app, Bonnie created prototypes for presentation and assisted with clinician and consumer focus group recruitment.

Presently Bonnie is working on the Parkwood Rehabilitation Innovation in Movement Enhancement (PRIME) project, recruiting participants and collecting data. In the fall and winter Bonnie organizes and schedules students into the PT gym and clinics run out of Parkwood. Outside of work Bonnie has 3 grown children, 2 dogs and 1 husband; she enjoys solitary times, family times, biking, walking her dogs, travelling, gardening and swimming.
