PRIME
PRIME is a flagship project of the Research 2 Practice (R2P) team and is a great example of what can happen when research, clinical and educational activities are integrated. This project involves therapists, researchers, and hospital administrators working together with persons with lived experience and students to develop enhancements to activity-based therapies (e.g., optimizing therapeutic intensity) in persons with acquired brain and spinal cord injury.
"Ultimately, we believe personalized therapy will have the biggest impact in people's lives"
Collect standardized battery of assessments
Collect therapy activities in a systematic way
Create an environment for clinical improvement and reflection by presenting results back to the clinicians for their interpretation
Develop a clinical decision support system using a collaborative clinical and research IT platform
Goals
To provide the best therapy to the right person at the right time to enhance mobility.
Develop analytic models that will create treatment recommendations as part of an electronic decision support system
Demonstrate the effectiveness of this system
What this means…
