Electrical Stimulation Therapy

E-STIM

This best practice implementation project, funded by the Rick Hansen Foundation, investigates how to best provide pressure ulcer best practices, with a specific focus on electrical stimulation therapy (E-Stim), for people with spinal cord injury (SCI) who live in the community. E-Stim is a proven therapy that improves the healing and closure rates of wounds including pressure ulcers. This initiative is being conducted in Southwest Ontario with an aim to inform a pan-Canadian implementation plan.
